    • 4. To Sleep with Wombats / All Creatures Big and Small
    • Episode 1: When a visiting friend of Karla's (Keisha the wombat) turns out to be a night owl, Karla, Bo and Max are exhausted trying to keep up. They're convinced Keisha doesn't sleep! Mama shows them that all animals need sleep to survive and when she finds out that Keisha is a nocturnal wombat, she shows them how some animals sleep during the day. Episode 2: After Max gets stuck between two trees during a game of Follow-The-Leader, he is mildly teased about being "big and round" by Bo. Max's feelings get hurt. Mama decides it's time to show some movies about how — and why — animals come in all different shapes and sizes.

So with the help of Mama's movies, the children learn the value of a home and the love that surrounds it. In the end, the movies eventually reveal the home of Dib and Dab. Episode 2: When Max gets a cold and a trip to a special place has to be put off, Mama prescribes rest and plenty of fluids. Max is upset, but Mama shows him that everybody — yes, even animals — gets sick and has to do what is necessary to recover. Sometimes they even take their own kind of "medicine."

    • 6. Play's The Thing / Sam Spades of the Savanna
    • Episode 1: Bo, Karla and Max can't decide on what game to play — they each have a favorite of their own. Mama’s home movies show them that every animal likes to play differently whether it is swinging, running or gnawing. As a result, the children understand that each of their favorite games actually helps them practice skills they will use later in life. Episode 2: Bo, it seems, has lost his favorite feather…or more accurately, someone seems to have taken it! Mama and the kids go on a mission to solve the mystery of the missing feather.

    • 7. I Spy / Eyes, Nose, Ears, and Trunk
    • Episode 1: Max, when playing "I Spy" with Bo and Karla, feels like he can't keep up. Mama shows him that not only is it okay to move more slowly (especially if you're an elephant), but there's a whole world of things to see when you're not zipping around like a zebra (or a cheetah). Episode 2: Playing "Kick the Coconut" Bo, Max and Karla meet a friendly Fruit Bat named Merlin. He's really good at the game, which, until then, had been Bo's best game. Mama shows the gang a movie about "echolocation," as a way of introducing the other senses. As a result, the kids learn which of their own senses are particularly strong.

    • 8. A Savanna Kwanzaa / You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby
    • Episode 1: Everyone on the savanna is coming to Mama’s big Kwanzaa celebration, which leads to a discussion — and some movies — about the seemingly endless variety and names of animal families. In the end, Karla comes up with a name for their little inter-species family — a "furry" of friends. Episode 2: The monkey brothers Kip, Flip, and Chip have a new cousin, Pip. No one, especially Bo, can believe that the monkey brothers were ever that small. Mama has some movies proving otherwise and making for one cute film festival.

    • 9. Change is Gonna Come / Trumpet While You Work
    • Episode 1: Karla is having a lot of fun with her new tadpole friend until one day she finds that he has changed completely. Why did he have to go and do that? Mama explains — with some help from her home movies — how change is something that happens to everyone in the animal kingdom. It just happens faster to some than others. Episode 2: Max wants Mama to play, but she has to work, as does the local tale-spinning orb spider. In the end, Max learns why all adults have to work.

Through home movies, Mama shares why animals migrate and assures Karla that Winnie will be back this way before she knows it. Episode 2: Bo, who has been boasting about his leaping ability, has an accident that's very embarrassing. Mama — through some very funny movies — shows Bo that all animals make mistakes and that it's one of the ways we learn.
