Meet the Author

Chris Schweizer was born in 1980 and grew up in Louisiana and Kentucky. He received a BFA in Graphic Design from Murray State University, where he also studied English, and his MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta. He is the cartoonist of the Crogan Adventure Series, an award-winning historical fiction graphic novel series that has made the American Library Association's Great Graphic Novels for Teens list, the Maverick list, and Book Reporter's Core Ten Teen Collection Graphic Novels list, as well as earning Eisner and CYBILS award nominations. Tricky Journeys is his first series for young readers. He teaches comics at SCAD-Atlanta, and lives in Marietta, Georgia, with his wife and daughter. Courtney Huddleston was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, and moved to Houston when be was four. It's where he still lives today. Courtney took a few art classes in high school and a couple of college life drawing classes when after he graduated. He has been drawing professionally since he was 19 years old. Courtney started off professionally airbrushing windows and T-shirts, and from there he worked his way into comic books and children's books. He was hired as a storyboard artist for Disney animation at the same time that he was offered his first comic book job. He chose to take the comic book job.
