Overview

This revised edition of the award-winning 1-2-3 Magic program addresses the difficult task of child discipline with humor, keen insight, and proven experience. The technique offers a foolproof method of disciplining children ages two through 12 without arguing, yelling, or spanking. By means of three easy-to-follow steps, parents learn to manage troublesome behavior, encourage good behavior, and strengthen the parent-child relationship—avoiding the "Talk-Persuade-Argue-Yell-Hit" syndrome which frustrates so many parents. Ten strategies for building a child’s self-esteem and the six types of testing and manipulation a parent can expect from the child are discussed, as well as tips on how to prevent homework arguments, make mealtimes more enjoyable, conduct effective family meetings, and encourage children to start doing their household chores. New advice about kids and technology and new illustrations bring this essential parenting companion completely up-to-date.

Not enough discipline and examples for the preschool years.

The is good an d I plan on trying out the 123 magic however I felt it didnt have enough examples and directives for parents of toddlers and preschooler. I think that age range needs special attention.

    Really does help!

This book really helped us with our daughter who is very bright. We also shared some key pages with her grandmothers who help us take care of her from time to time. She has shown alot of improvements, but consistency is key. Parents have to agree on what are the instant 3's and how to handle when not at home.

    1-2-3 Magic by ParentMagic

After reading this book I also read More 1-2-3 Magic by the same author. I also viewed the DVD and purchased 1-2-3 Magic for Children and read it to my granddaughter. She asked over and over for us to read this to her and I feel this program will be helpful to control her behavior. One of her parents does not discipline her and this is a real problem. This is a great program for parents and grandparents to use and to eliminate bad behavior.

    It works!

I'm a teacher and a parent, and 1-2-3 Magic is useful as both! I bought the book to learn about the program in the classroom, but could only find the parent version. Luckily, the book is easy to read and adapt to situations other than those discussed in the book. The author provides many examples and explains everything in "layman's" terms. I was afraid it would read like a textbook, but thankfully I was wrong!

    The Life of Alex Sanchez~16

(Megan's pov) The guards took us into the palace. It was very open-consept. It had a throne in the center of the room. We forced to kneel in front of it. A Japanese man sat on the throne. He had two slave girls chained to his throne. They were kissing his feet. The man noiticed us and kicked his slaves in the face. One of them staryed cying anf a guard came and dragged her out. She screamed all the way out. The man said," Welcome, slave girls. This is a totture and work camp. Some of you will work but most of you will be tortured. I am Lord Cazmir. You will call me Master. And if you don't your life will be short and misrable. My son is in need of a slave. He has very special needs. Heh heh! I wnat the prettiest slave here." He picked out five slaves and sent them out of the palace. He picked a slave next to me and put her in to his slaves place." Troy!", Lord Cazmir called. A muscular boy about 18 walked into the room. He had dirty blond hair and blue eyes. He walked up to one of the girls and stared into her eyes. Ten seconds later the girl screamed and fell on the floor. Troy came in front of me and stared at me. I saw visions of tortured girls. They were being ducked into boiling oil. Their screams echoed in my mind. I stepped back and the vision ended. Troy turned to his father." I choose her.", he said, pointing to me. I was going to be the slave of kings son.~~~~~~ next part at next res.~ Chris
