I feel like I discovered another horror master that I didn't know existed. I had never read anything by Blackwood -- he died in the 1950s -- but now I want to read everything he wrote. I loved the book, and I believe any true horror fan will too. Good reading.

I got to tell you that Algernon Blackwood, who I never heard of before I purchased this ebook, beats Poe and King in my book. I love the originally and intellectual purity and hardcore slow-cooking terror these stories produced. This book is not for those who love only quick stores with predictable blood and gore. No, this book is for true horror devotees only. Get ii -- if you fit the bill.

If you have a TV attention span, this book is not for you. But if you love well plotted horror that builds like a great symphony's crescendo, buy this book and devour it like I did. The writers are the masters of all times. Great, great suspense, surprise and horror.
