All Music Guide - Tom Demalon

There are a lot of similarities between the two acts, as well as to Swing Out Sister. Using classic 60's pop as a foundation, the duo also makes a nod to contemporary electronic pop on their debut release 100% Human. With Pearson as the musical and Overs handling the vocals, Pocket Size weaves a tapestry of breezy, inviting songs aided by classy production. Overs has a sweet vocal style and they work well with the light pop melodies. Everything here has a hook a mile wide from the opening title track to the closing "Jessye' ...

Everything here has a hook a mile wide from the opening title track to the closing "Jessye' Lisabeth," a pretty piano ballad. Other standouts include "Shaking The Tree," with it's chugging mid-tempo melody and Overs' saucy vocals, "Death Of Me," a yearning, confession over a sparse, shuffle and complete with "do do do do dos, " and the swirling keyboards of "Sunbeam." 100% Human is a 100% pure, pop delight.
