Steve Andrews has been a bookseller for Waterstones for more then fifteen years and has a particular knowledge of the genre. He was co-editor of the Waterstones Guide to Science Fiction and Fantasy Books. Nick Rennison is a bookseller, editor and freelance writer. He is author of the Bloomsbury Good Reading Guide.

    includes older novels

    I haven't read much SF since the '70s. I wanted something to relate to the SF I knew before, and perhaps relate to newer works.

    Many of the authors I enjoyed are no longer on the shelves - Leiber, Simak, Knight, Sheckley, Farmer, Matheson, .... There are some I'm happy to see - Bradbury, Asimov, Heinlein, Dick.

    If you know SF from before the '70s, you might like this.

    I'm enjoying it. In fact, I need another. Gave the first to someone willing to try SF (accompanied by "I Robot" and "The Martian Chronicles", and the second, to a lover of Bradbury's "Dandelion Wine".
