More than 1000 quilting designs for hand or machine quilting are included in this compendium of traditional quilting patterns augmented by patterns derived from Celtic, Indian, Chinese, Polynesian, and Pueblo Indian traditions. Most are two or four inches with enlargement tables to enable quilters to enlarge the designs on a copier for blocks up to 16 inches. Organized by theme, the black-line drawing designs on white paper are suitable for tracing. The book includes instructions for transferring the designs onto fabric as well as information on recommended tools, assembling the quilt, and quilting by hand or machine. A good value for the money, this is recommended for all but the smallest public libraries. Copyright 2004 Reed Business Information.
