1,000 Miles of Hope [NOOK Book]

Overview

The is the first short story I have ever written. In general I only write poetry, but the tittle "1,000 Miles of Hope" just popped into my mind and I felt it belonged to a short story instead of a poem. This story is about a young woman who has broken-up with her boyfriend for his own good, but has regretted the decision.

Meet the Author

I was born in England in 1978, the youngest of 3 girls. My whole family moved to Greece in 1983, where we still live. I have been writing poetry since I was 10. The poems in my collections span from my earliest poems up until my most recent work. I am the only one who has ever reviewed my work, so despite my best efforts to check it, errors may be present. I welcome all feedback.

    more from this reviewer

    I Also Recommend:

    Very sappy

This essay reads as a journal entry. It is one woman's woeful memory of losing the love of her life. It reads as if she's about to commit suicide because "life isn't worth living". At first I thought it was so disgustingly pathetic - this woman's saccharine pleas of a love lost - I nearly abandoned finishing. However, the story itself was well written. While I'm not really interested in the romance genre, this essay was about as romantic as an essay can be. If you're into romance, this may be for you.

    Could have been better jmm44

But not bad --- they BOTH should have said what they REALLY felt instead of trying to second guess the other

    Too short

A drop in the bucket of what a good strong book could have been shame on author for being too timid to even try to write a real full bodied book

    Adorable

This was by far the cutest love story ever. It kind of inspired me to reach furthet out for my dreams and to make them become a reality.

    Great

I loved it. It was a romance shortstory. It was kind of like a poem if you try to rhyme it in your head. Very beatiful and worth reading. ~ Tibby

    Crossover or cross under?

The beginning reads like a poem and roughly tries to become a story. A jumbled attempt at best.

    Could have been built upon.

Though the writing itself was good, there could have been a much larger attention to detail.
