About the Author

Chris Coppola was born in the late sixties in Paris and developed an early passion for music, skateboards, and tattoos during his youth. In the early 90's, he became the assistant to a fashion photographer and started working for several French publications focusing on music, skateboard, tattoo, and pop culture in general. He is the creator and the co-author of three volumes in the Tattooisme series of books which were among the first to treat tattoos as an art form worthy of serious attention. He is also a contributor to the pop art book Tattoo Stickers Collectors and was the editor in chief of the magazine Rise Tattoo.
