This is a brief, but engaging, overview of U.S. History. It covers all the big events and gives a short description of the event and its impact on America. In some cases the author's bias is evident, but not so much as to detract from the book's purpose. Best of all, this book is an enjoyable read. I left it lying around and my 20-something son got interested and read it too. He really enjoyed it and said he learned some things, so I guess that makes it cross-generationally relevant as well! I would recommend the book for anyone who is looking for a brief, but entertaining, overview of U.S. history.
