Fact: Chocolate contains the alkaloid theobromine, which in high doses can be toxic to humans, and in even small amounts can kill dogs, parrots, horses, and cats.
This means that despite its name, the Kit-Kat candy bar is not a recommended snack for your kitty-cat. I wonder how many cats have died because of this confusion.

Overview

Fact: Chocolate contains the alkaloid theobromine, which in high doses can be toxic to humans, and in even small amounts can kill dogs, parrots, horses, and cats.
This means that despite its name, the Kit-Kat candy bar is not a recommended snack for your kitty-cat. I wonder how many cats have died because of this confusion.

Fact: The most germ-laden place on your toilet isn't the seat or even the bowl--it's the handle.
The solution: Don't flush. Let the next guy worry about it.

There are "just the facts"--and then there are just the facts that will frighten the bejeezus out of you. And thanks to this little gem of a bathroom book, you'll never look at the world the same way again, without, er, dry heaving a little bit.

From the sneaky fish that can swim up our genitals to the E. coli bacteria lurking in the very water we drink, disturbing phenomena are everywhere we turn. Educational, entertaining, and undeniably horrifying, this book isn't guaranteed to help you, um, go to the bathroom, but it's certain to make your time there more...informed.

    Best for juvenile MTV types

I like trivia books and thought this one might be interesting.... but between the author's sensationalistic approach to fact sharing and the little juvenile snarky commentary he adds to his "facts".... the book is painful to read. Best for a juvenile mindset. Reminds me of the MTV video review show with the lame comments from the has been cele"brat"ies.

    Interesting, yet fairly annoying...

The facts were fantastic and very interesting, but the author's snide side comments drove me up a wall! It was extrememly hard to concentrate on the facts with the somewat snarky comments devouring the potential this book had to offer. I do not recommend buying! If you do buy this book, realize that although the facts are interesting, you will have a very hard time focusing on the facts, but instead be bombarde with tiny thoughts of killing the author...

    Didn't really take to it

The first couple of pages were pretty good. After that it got a little redundant. It was a little too much on the crude side for me.

Not at all as good as they say it is

If you are into corny humor and easily impressed buy certain facts then you may very well enjoy this book that acts as a horrie attempt to "frighten" you buy distributing facts about the food you eat that probably will not changebthe fact that you will continue to eat them and disgusting facts about things that will noaffect you because you probably will not eat that stuff anyway.
