This is an amazing cookbook for ice cream! I was absolutely fascinated as I flipped through the various sections of this book. The first chapter has the basic recipes, and everything else builds on these. She even has a light ice cream recipe! The recipes are simple, easy, and delightful. She has milkshake recipes as well as more complex ice cream creations.
I love the fact that she tells you that you do not need an expensive ice cream maker, and she says you can use the "ice cream in a bag" method if you would like to. She also shares some tips about using eggs and candies. Very practical and very easy.
The pictures were fantastic, and every recipe makes me want to start making ice cream at once! I plan to make one of her special treats soon, and I am sure it will turn out well! This is fantastic little book that every ice cream enthusiast should pick up at once!
I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

I looked through a lot of ice cream books before finally deciding on this one and I have not been disappointed yet. All of the recipes I've tried so far have been delicious. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

This is probably the yummiest blog tour I've been on! My thanks to Cedar Fort for providing the book for my review.
What is better in the hot month of August than cool, creamy, homemade ice cream? Nothing. Honest. I know because I tried it. :)
This book came in the mail right as I was headed out to the pool with my kids. We were meeting some friends there so I popped it in my bag and thought I'd take a look at it while the kids were swimming. My friend saw it in my bag and asked about it so we pulled it out and drooled over it. (well, she maybe didn't drool, but I did) You won't believe all the yummy ice cream recipes in this book. The pictures are fantastic. (nice work, Marielle Hayes)
So, I picked out two ice cream flavors to try at home for this review. Last night I made Key Lime Pie. Ooh, was it good! My girls and I made those "oh, I am enjoying every single bite of this" noises the whole way through. The boys were off to the movies so they have yet to try it but I guarantee they will love it too. Next up will be cookies and cream. That is going to be a favorite, I already know.
There are many different sections in this book. Ice Cream flavors (which includes a whole section on chocolate goodness!), milkshakes, holiday treats, ice cream treats and ice cream pies. It is an awesome book. SO YUMMY!
