Overview

The Barnes & Noble Nook is an electronic reading device that allows the user to read books, listen to music and browse the web. It was released at the end of 2009 using the Android platform and has proven to be highly successful, with the support of free Wi-Fi access and free book reading at Barnes & Noble stores giving users some extra benefits.

The Nook Manual is a great resource; but more than likely you got the Nook as a gift, and you want to start using it without spending hours engulfed in the supplied manual. That's where this guide comes in. Some of the tips here are repeated from the manuals, others are completely new (including hacks and mods that are only for more experienced users). The point of the guide is to get you comfortable with using the Nook in less than an hour.

Along with the basics, this book will show you:
*How to find 1000s of free books not on the Nook store, and how to transfer them to your Nook.
*Ways to get better battery life.
*Reset your Nook to the factory settings.
*Take screen shots of your Nook.
*Check for computer viruses on your Nook.
*Get books even when you are in Countries where the Nook isn't supported.
*Read Word documents.
*Synchronize what you have read on other devices'.
*And much more!

I'm amazed that someone is allowed to basically republish the Nook manual for their own profit. Junk.

I thought it would be useful, but it only has 14 pages and is exactly like the manual. Do not give this person money for junk.

Wow!!! Only 14 pages. Not worth the money. I'm sorry I spent the $3.00.

Nothing here I hadn't already figured out ten minutes after opening the box. Most info in here is already in the user guide that comes with the Nook. And as someone else already said there are far less than 101 tips so this is blatantly false advertising.

Not worth the download!

I bought this thinking it would help me get more out of my Nook Color. No such luck. Don't waste your money.

read the manual its all there no hack or advance tips

If you spend just ten minutes using your Nook, you should have already figured out most of these "tips and tricks." Most of them can simply be found in the Nook manual that come pre-loaded on the device. This is simply a waste of money and the author should be ashamed for essentially charging people for a condensed version of the manual.

Totally useless..Save your money and read the owners manual.

There is nothing in this book that isn't in your guide. Also, there is only 25 tips. Someone needs to count. I wish I hadn't wasted my money. Had I read it free in the store I would still have got through it and had 45 minutes left to read something else. Beware, avoid, run.

May be there are more concise books. May be there are less. This was much less than I thought it would be. I think this counts as a "Gotcha" B&N.
