Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Guides in the "101 Techniques" series are designed to foster repeated practice and improve skills and confidence. "101" refers to the number of short illustrated and captioned step-by-step exercises included, all of which are given either a color-coded "beginner" or "advanced" tag on the table of contents page, allowing readers to chart their own nonlinear path through the book as the authors suggest. VERDICT These numerous exercises cover a broad range of possibilities offered by the medium of oil paint, but readers will need to look elsewhere for more in-depth and complex projects.
