I usually use a "sample" to give the flavor of the text to follow. Since this was a "cookbook" sample, I expected to be given a glimpse of one or so recipes, which I could use to determine if I would indeed benefit from getting this book.
Much to my dismay there are only categories of foods listed. In other words, the sample is not a sample at all, just information regarding title, author, publisher, etc., which all books have. I am sure I am not the only person who does not like to buy "sight unseen" merchandise. This may be a great book, but unless I can see some examples of its actual contents I will not buy it!
