Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal
Gr 5–8—These two books offer light, friendly, and accessible approaches to health topics that tweens and teens care about. Readers are encouraged to eat a balance of healthy foods and exercise in Shape; the tone is fun and encouraging. Body includes coverage of gross topics (zits, warts, etc.), food, stress, and other general concerns. The photos and diagrams are bright and colorful, and go well with the text. Most similar series are dry, but these titles are colorful, conversational, and extremely teen centered. Quizzes and "Top Ten Tips" lists make them particularly helpful, though the format is more suitable for browsing than for research. Solid offerings.—Robin Henry, Wakeland High School, Frisco, TX
