Okay for 99 cents. Some small format problems.

I got the Nook Simple Touch on 6/6/11 and this was my first e-book purchase. At 99 cents, it was a safe bet. It's mostly a collection of some of Dick's earlier short stories, typically ones which are in the public domain (and available for free elsewhere) due to copyright expiration. They're not generally his best work, although there are several good ones in here. Second Variety is the basis of the film Screamers. The Variable Man is the longest and has the most elaborate plot. There are some formatting problems. The "-" often used for an unfinished sentence was rendered as a "?". It's annoying, but for 99 cents, it's a small issue.

    Awesome book for nook

If you have seen the adjustment bureau, minority report and/or bladerunner, you already know Philip Dicks work. This collection of stories is a gift of good writing for scifi fans. I highly recommend it

    Best Science Fiction Short Stories

I have always been a fan of Philip K. Dick's work. He mixes just the right amount of detail, mystery and irony in his stories to pull you in and make you want more! It's no wonder that he has had four movies created from his work such as "Blade Runner", "Screamers", "Minority Report" and "Total Recall". Excellent writer!

    Good old stories

They are the same good old stories I read when I was in my teens, but somehow they have lost their charm. I feel about each one, Why did I like this stuff 50 years ago?
