1200 Curfews is a double live album recorded on the Swamp Ophelia tour from 1994 to 1995, covering the duo's best loved songs as well as some inspired covers of classics from Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Joni Mitchell. And while this is obviously directed at the Indigo Girls' insatiable cult following, even casual fans will find the album engaging since the live performances are often more spirited and direct than the studio versions.

This Indigo Girls CD set, ''1200 Curfews'' is one of the most powerful musical experiences out there. This live CD explodes with the girls' humor and talent for relating to the audience. It is full of anecdotal moments and, yet is not all fluff. Their songs address political issues and delve into their deepest emotions. It is a triumph in music and shows the two working in their best environment, the live arena. I recommend this selection to any and all interested in some good music with tons of emotion and a lot to say.
The Indigo girls have long been favorites, but this double album pushed them over the top. The absolute best song is an uptempo version of "Land of Canaan" which is dedicated to The Replacements ( by the way, that has nothing to do with Keanu Reeves.) A 10 out of 10!
This has all that I love about the Indigo girls. Will never leave home without it.
I bought this CD set to replace the one I had worn out. This is a great set of CD's which showcases the talents, energy, intelligence, and compassion of Amy Ray and Emily Saliers. It seems that no matter how many times I listen to these CD's, I hear something new or am inspired. It's great for summer driving--roll down your windows and crank it up!
