Overview

The chills are creeping up your neck, the unknown watch you from a breath away, and the long dead seem closer than ever…
In the modern age, our five senses are constantly bombarded by the world around us: flashing screens, loud noises, barking, yelling, horn honking, billboards, bustling crowds, arrogant bosses, and the constant hustle of a busy schedule. It's hard to even think of having a moment alone.
But it is when we are alone, that our sixth sense has a chance to surface. I invite you to take a moment, or two, for yourself to sit down, dim the lights and spend some time with the strange and the weird. Sift through some stories that will have you looking into dark corners, listening to the creaks of the floor, and wondering if the movement of your curtain is the work of something other than a breeze.

    Fantastic Read!

Wow! I just finished reading this book, and I can honestly say that I loved it! The stories were great, diverse and kept my attention. The editing was fantastic, the cover rocked, and I have to say my favorite story was "Blood on the Dancefloor"! Looking forward to another anthology!

    Be prepared to be SCARED!!!!!

This book is a creepingly fangtastic book that will make your teeth chatter or possibly wet your pants. eeeeps... The Door written by Theresa Oliver is one creepy story that makes me glad that my home is safe. Embers written by Dawn Jayne give me the goosebumps. All the stories are absolutely wonderful and written by wonderful writers.

    One Scary Read!

This book is one fantastic read! If you like to be scared and turn off all the lights in the house except for your reading lamp, then this read is for you! Each story is better than the last, keeping your eyes glued to the page and looking over your shoulder! J.S. Wilsoncroft's story "Toothless" really freaked me out with its surprise ending! I was wide-eyed until the end! And Dawn Jayne's "Dying Embers" was fantastic! She has such a great command of the language of writing and was one freaky read! So treat yourself today to one great read, but be warned! It's not for the faint of heart!

13 Tales of Diverse, Paranormal Fun!

I had a great time reading this anthology. First of all, the cover art alone gave me some chills. It really set the tone for the entire collection. Each story was well-sized. I enjoy anthologies where you can read a whole story in one sitting, even if you are pressed for time. Each were around 5-9 pages, so great for breaks during busy days AND they were all 'fast' reads, well-written. They were really diverse, so I never got the feeling I was reading the same story over and over, which has been the case in other short story collections at times. Each author had a unique 'voice' as well. Some were first person, some third, the plots and supernatural elements were all varied. It was just an overall great mix!

It was a good read but...!

There are a lot of good writers in 13 Tales with various genres from horror to romance. I, myself am featured within the anthologies pages, although that story is quite old now and not my best, I openly beseech that.
This book is a brilliant read for those who like a book that brings diversity in plots and settings. The only thing that disappointed me was the editorial errors, without them it would have been so much better. But still, if you can get over them, then there are some fantastic adventures awaiting you, the reader.
