Crochet trims give the perfect finishing touch to handmade garments and accessories, or can be used to instantly revitalize old favorites and plain store-bought items. Needle-crafters of all persuasions will discover how you can quickly and easily customize everything from cardigans, sweaters and shawls to bags, cushions and throws with this collection of 150 beautiful crochet designs.
150 Crochet Trims offers a really diverse collection of trims. Suitable for both the beginner and avid enthusiast the book is organized in two main sections: first a directory of 150 trims shown actual size (allowing them to be "tested" by holding against a garment, for example). And second, full pattern instructions for each trim. The final section of the book includes a refresher course of crochet stitches and techniques used.
The main directory is organized by types of edgings from lacy borders and beaded trims to fringes, ruffles and filet panel insertions. There is even a section on crochet buttons to coordinate with the trims. Each design is graded according to skill level and features clear instructions and beautifully photographed swatches, information on the dimensions of the finished trim and amount of yarn needed per length. In addition, each section includes a simple project demonstrating delightful ways to utilize the trims from collars to cuffs to bags to baby booties.
Sure to be a must have resource for all knitters and crocheters!

This book will stay in my library permanently. It has so many patterns, it's great.
this is a good book for trims, edgings and ideas. I make many items with out a pattern or alter a pattern to fit what I have in my mind also to make another size. many times I need an idea of an edging to use. the first 45 pgs, are color pictures of trims/edgings. each is numbered 1-150. and has a name. from page 48-97. the trims are numbered.the page the larger picture is on, with information on skill level, thread[s] used, and the pattern.also how too's are given for difficult stitches used.included are button holes. from page 100 there are projects, how too's for buttons, all crocheted and covered, ideas and how to attach trims to bought or made items. from page 112 there are 'freshers' on basic crochet, equipment, how to measure for guage and blocking. index in the back as well as american and english terminology. great if you obtain patterns from england or vintage as many used english patterns
I have been crocheting/knitting for 35 years and very often while making blankets, etc. do not like the recommended border. This book enables you to change the border and/or add trims/decorations to your work. Great book!!
This book has some neat designs incorporating beads and such, but I personally think it's lacking where other books (such as the complete book of crochet border designs) excell. Definitely not the best out there, but for a beginner in crochet trims and borders, it could be useful for learning some simpler ones.
