Sabah Talat Kudrat was born in Baghdad in 1939. He graduated from the University of Baghdad, College of Education, Department of English in 1962. He worked in secondary education and held several positions in the Ministry of Education, the Department of Cultural Relations and UNESCO in Baghdad. He joined the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1976 and held several positions in Iraqi embassies in Sri Lanka, East Berlin, Cuba, Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York in 1989 and finally Chargé d'Affaires in Nairobi, then held a position in Baghdad before retiring in 2023. He passed away, may God have mercy on him, after suffering a stroke in 2002. I have the honor to publish my father's personal memoirs, which he wrote during his years of retirement.
ولد صباح طلعت قادرت في بغداد عام 1939. تخرج في جامعة بغداد ، كلية التربية ، قسم اللغة الإنجليزية عام 1962. عمل في التعليم الثانوي وتقلد عدة مناصب في وزارة التربية والتعليم وإدارة العلاقات الثقافية ومنظمة اليونسكو في بغداد . التحق بوزارة الخارجية العراقية في عام 1976 وشغل العديد من المناصب في السفارات العراقية في كل من سيريلانكا ، برلين الشرقية ، كوبا ، ونائب المندوب الدائم لدى الأمم المتحدة في نيويورك عام 1989 وأخيرا القائم بالأعمال في نيروبي ثم شغل منصب في بغداد قبل التقاعد عام 2002 توفي رحمه الله بعد أصابته بجلطة دماغية سنة . 2023
