About the Author

Doug Mills is the son of an artist, the grandson and great grandson of Maine lighthouse keepers. Doug is a nautical photographer and author specializing in the historic tall ships that call Maine home.

Doug started Shoot Maine Studios in 2007 and has created one of the largest collections of nautical photographs centered around the historic fleet of two and three masted schooners, which sail the Maine waters.
Shoot Maine Studios also publishes The MaineSail Magazine.
