Overview

This is the true story of Clancy Jones, a special needs kitten who was born to a feral mother cat in the backyard of two very special people who dearly love cats. She was very fortunate because her birth mother had abandoned her out in the rain and she was stuck under a drain pipe. It was there that she and her sister Tinkerbelle were found shortly after their birth and adopted, and taken to live inside the house.

Her adopted parents think something affected her because of that, and now she's deaf and she won't let anyone touch her head or ears. She seems content in her own little world, except if someone accidentally touches her when she isn't looking, and then she almost jumps through the ceiling.

This book chronicles Clancy's 1st year of life in words and photos.

Meet the Author

Working with words has been a major part of my career as I worked as a proofreader and classified advertising salesperson for several newspapers across the nation, and a temporary line editor for the Petoskey (Michigan) News Review. I hold a certificate of completion from the Parish School of Classified Advertising, where I learned copywriting for successful advertisements. I was also the editor and publisher of the school district newsletter for the Hiawatha, Kansas Unified School District 415, where I was secretary to the Superintendent of Schools for sixteen years. I spent one year at Ventura (CA) Junior College, where I majored in English. During my junior high and high school years I had poems published in the local (Camarillo Daily News) newspaper, was the historian for the Horizon Club (senior Campfire Girls) Camarillo, California chapter, and was responsible for having the monthly meeting articles published in the local newspaper. I was senior class editor of my high school year book.

My friends and family just call me K.

After retiring from my position as secretary to the superintendent of schools in Hiawatha, KS for 16 years, I am most recently retired from my post-retirement position as an administrative assistant for a geotechnical engineering and construction testing firm in Reno, Nevada.

Since retiring, I have authored and published 15 eBooks and 7 paperback books, in addition to this one.

My husband Walt and I have three grown daughters and two grandchildren. We live in St. Joseph, Missouri with our Maine coon cat Lucy Marie.
