Not a serious book, this is more of a guilty pleasure. It's fun and quirky, the characters are larger than life. At about 80% through it, one scene grabbed me and opened up a long ago memory and gave this story more depth for me. But honestly, on the very first page, it had already spoken to me-Elizabeth Hemmings favorite phrase, repeated through the story, is "life is real, not ideal." I'd love to say more but I'm off to get 2 Months 'Til Married!!

Ms. Muzik does it again with her witty prose. She takes a seemingly normal reaction to the loss of a childhood favorite toy and expands into a hilarious romp though the mid-west. Whatever could go wrong for Catherine Marie, does! Thanks for a great read, Ms. Muzik. What's next?

This book was recommended to me as a "chick book," and had the source known that I hate just about anything "chick," the recommendation may never have been uttered. So, before I read 2 Days 'Til Sunday, my reason for reading it was complete obligation to the person who recommended it. That sense of obligation completely melted away after the first chapter, though--I read the rest of it because I was drawn in. I loved it! It was such an easy read. I laughed (out loud), I cried (real tears), and generally I just couldn't put it down. From the first page, I was hooked by the main character--Cat is totally believable; her feelings and reactions are real; her emotions are raw, and I experienced all of it as I read her story. I'm looking forward to more from the author. And, if this is what a "chick book" is, then I've been missing out!

Certainly not what I expected. What I thought of "chick lit" has been flushed. I was expecting sexy scenes, not giggles in the bedroom. I loved it! I thought it was a quick and easy read. Part of the story is based on an eBay deal that never happened. We all know how much I love eBay and I could so relate! Cat is full of emotion that every female reader will relate to and part of a typical, yet disfunctional family (who can't relate to that??) Also strongly emphasized? Friendship, family connections and love. A few books I've read recently have been well written but totally predictable, kind of like Sweet Valley High romances when we were young teenagers (oh, so long ago.) This book? Not so much. Well written and entertaining from the beginning straight through to the end. It is full of laugh out loud moments; I would highly recommend this book. Heck, I've recommended books I haven't read that were on Amazon for 99 cents, so you should really go download this one! It comes with my seal of approval!! What did my girls and I do on Friday night, after I had finished this book (while the boys were out with their friends)??? We went out for Sundaes, of course.
