Barnes & Noble
A battle rapper like Canibus is always looking for an easy target. On Can-I-Bus, he attacked LL Cool J with venom-filled rhymes such as, "You drippin' with wack juice, and you can't get it off." Now on his sophomore album, he's seeking vengeance on his former mentor and producer Wyclef Jean "Wyclef spoiled it," he raps on the title track, whom Canibus blames for his debut album's lukewarm reception and lackluster sales. Belligerent tendencies aside, this mad rapper redeems himself with 2000 B.C., which sizzles with beats as sinister as his lyrics. The Jamaican born MC also flexes his mental muscles, peppering his raps with tongue-tying terms such as subatomic particles, tectonic plates, and carpal tunnel syndrome. ...

The Jamaican born MC also flexes his mental muscles, peppering his raps with tongue-tying terms such as subatomic particles, tectonic plates, and carpal tunnel syndrome. But not all of his inspiration comes from textbooks. "C-Quel" cleverly uses the theme from SWAT's heroic horns and clamoring bass line. And thanks to deft production splicing, on that same track, Canibus simultaneously warns, "I battle you in the flesh/I battle you over the phone you can call me collect" while boasting that he's, "Verbally vicious, telekinetically gifted." Crowning this combative collection, Canibus and Rakim violently plot against an unnamed adversary on the bellowing "I'll Buss 'Em U Punish 'Em." Regardless of his target, a wordsmith as gifted as Canibus can't be beat. Dara Cook

    Classic Battle Rap album...

There is not one wack track on this album... From CanIbuS's rhymes and his perfect flow... along with the Beats make this album one of HIPHOP's best albums ever!

    innovative

Can-i-bus is the rawest mc out there (lyrically speaking), nobody can come close to him when it come to spitting. If you haven't heard his first album (can-i-bus) I suggest you peep it. The music isn't the hottest, but if you listen, the lyrics will make you think, (this brother is the rawest), just listen to second round K.O.
