Overview

Brandishing a potent mix of anthemic rock and glossy balladsa sound that laid the groundwork for the pop-metal bands of the eightiesKISS's brand of rock 'n' roll ignited an entire generation of music fans with their flamboyant costumes and comic-book mystique. On stage, the band accompanies its anthems with pyrotechnics and dry ice fog, and the audience loves every fire-breathing, blood-spitting minute of their shows. KISS is the ultimate definition of a rock 'n' roll band. Their massive appeal as a touring band also translates into amazing merchandise and album sales, as the band ranks third behind the Rolling Stones and the Beatles for consecutive gold records, with twenty-three.

Just opened my Christmas presents; ...really enjoy this book. Glad to see my main man Edward Przydzial's images finally coming to light after all these years. The man has been buried under controversy and competition long enough. His images speak the 70's, KISS and the Motor City. His images sum up the fact KISS made Detroit thier home town and he was thier main documented picture guy... awesome. And it's about time for some respect... peace all.
