Or maybe it's because of the unique design. After all, it's the only calendar that works as hard as Mom, and is as clever about it, too. Combining the user-friendly organization and generous fill-in space of a planner with the at-a-glance convenience of a wall calendar, Mom's is the easiest way to quickly see what everyone in the family is doing, and when. PTA meetings, swimming lessons, trips to the dentist, papers due, and business dinners to plan--one look tells the whole story. And makes you smile, too.

Meet the Author

Sandra Boynton
Sandra Boynton has been a bestselling Workman author for 25 years. She's written the New York Times bestseller Chocolate: The Consuming Passion, the national (and New York Times) bestselling musical for the whole family, Philadelphia Chickens, the phenomenally successful Boynton on Board series (led by Barnyard Dance!), and the one-of-a-kind Grunt, the sublime collection of Pigoroian chant. All told, her books have over 15.3 million copies in print, a number that will already be out-of-date when you read this. She lives with her family in western Connecticut.

Biography

In the 1980s, it was hard to enter a gift shop without seeing Sandra Boynton's name. Her humorous pen-and-watercolor cartoons of hippos, ewes, and her famous turkeys (you know, symbolizing the human ones in life who can get you down) were emblazoned on cards, mugs, stickers, stationery...and of course, her wonderful, wacky books, the first of which was 1979's Hippos Go Berserk! .

Boynton began her career as a greeting card illustrator with aspirations of theater directing; but having a family changed her focus, and she began devoting herself full-time to art. Her board books, filled with goofy animal illustrations and rhyming verse, are toddler staples. But their appeal to adults is undeniable, and she has also written a number of humor books for the general public.

Given the rhythmic, buoyant style of her writing, it was only natural that Boynton would become involved in companion music to her books. From the '90s on, several of her titles included accompanying CDs, culminating in the 2002 release of Philadelphia Chickens, a CD-book extravaganza written with composer Michael Ford and featuring musical performances by several high-profile stars.

Who knows what lies ahead for this irrepressible force of nature? If there's one thing Sandra Boynton has proved in the course of her remarkably diverse career, it's that she's not lost her capacity to surprise us. (Thank heavens!)

    The BEST FAMILY CALENDAR ever!!

This calendar has been a lifesaver, keeping all the kids' activities on track. I thought I'd stop using this calendar once the kids finished high school, but since they still live at home for college, we need it as much as when they were younger. We always know when and where we need to be on a given day. I had to scramble around at the last minute last year to find one, since I waited until December. This year, I posted notes to everyone to remind me to order my 2005 calendar(s) early. I have given several as early Christmas gifts this year. Now there are even more fans of this invaluable tool!!

    We need this calendar!

My family and I need this calendar. I bought one last year, and everyone loved it. We all wrote our important appointments and activities on it all year. It's the first calendar we've ever had that actually helped us remember important things. We just had to have another one!

    Cannot live without this calendar

This calendar is such a help in organizing everyone! It took a little getting use to since it's not in the normal calendar fashion but once I got past that I realized I can't live without this.

Format Hard to Get Used To

I had this calendar a couple years back and found the format--organized by person and starting with Monday--very hard to get used to, as did my family. I think you have to be a true Boynton fan to adopt it. For big lined spaces in a matte paper that's easy to pencil & erase, we like the 2005 Family Organizer Wall Calendar much better.

    I buy one every year!

I was so worried that I would not be able to find this calendar for 2005. I don't know how I kept up with all of our family activities before I found this unique calendar!

My Family Can't Live Without This Calendar!

Last year I mistakenly gave out all of the copies of this calendar that I bought and couldn't find an extra one anywhere. 2004 was hectic because we didn't have this calendar. All of my friends that have received it loved it. Now I'm shopping online to make sure we have one for 2005. If you need to see everyone's schedule at a glance (a feat that even the kids and the hubby can do), then this is the wall calendar for you.

    You will never go back

I got my first of these calenders in 1999 and have never gone back to the old standard. Yes, it is strange at first to follow the format but with a busy family there is never any confusion of who needs to be where. I recommend it for EVERY family.

    Best Family Calendar Available!

I've used this calendar type for three years running! What a blessing. It's so nice to look across the day and see what each family member or activity is happening. Even though I use my PDA as my main calendar. This calendar is fun to have available so everyone else knows our schedule. I'm buying a new one for 2005. Oh and the characters on it are cute and funny!

    Helps each family member

I've been using this Mom's Calendar for about 4 years - it's VERY helpful. More space to write activities and each family member gets their own box each day. My kids are now teens and it's helpful for them to track their own activities as well as the whole family's.

This is the perfect calendar for a very busy mother! I have three children and need to know what needs to be done, from doctors appointments to piano lessons, and can easily look at this calendar to see who is doing what on any particular day! Buy it! You'll never use another calendar again!

    Love this calendar

This is the best calendar I've ever used! I can't go back to 'regular' ones any longer. I'm an organization nut and this is the best calendar for at a glance viewing. Plus Sandra Boynton is one of our favorite authors and illustrators.

Keeps me very organized with my busy family

This is the fourth year I have used this calendar. I am lost without it. I hang it on my kitchen wall and can always refer to it when I need to. I really recommend this to any busy mom or dad.

    LOVE IT!

I love this calendar--there is none better for a busy family. The 1st few days the format was tough (the days going down instead of set up like a 'normal' calendar. But I am on my 3rd year of using this calendar--there is no turning back--keep track of everyone in one glance!
