2006 365 Days Of Black History Engagement Calendarby Pomegranate
Back again are fifty-three remarkable people and events in black history, from diverse fiends, including art, sports, politics, entertainment, and literature. Among the notables featured this year are Shakespearean actor Ira Aldridge, poet Sonia Sanchez, Olympic gymnast Dominique Dawes, singer Miriam Makeba, architect Paul Revere Williams, artist James Denmark, and Joseph Jenkins Roberts, president of Liberia. Each day of the week notes an important milestone or birth date in black history; each week features a brief discussion of the person or an event, accompanied by a photograph or a reproduction of artwork. International holidays, calling codes, and time differences and 2006 and 2007 yearly grids also appear.

great as a resource for the everyday great blacks of achievement that we do not hear about. bulky to be used as a planner but chock full of information. i ordered 8 planners to give as christmas/kwaanza gifts this year and i know i will run into at least 2 more people that will want it. i plan to use some information from this for our black history month presentation.
