Overview

Though translated from Latin as "it does not follow," Non Sequitur actually boasts many followers. This sometimes political, often satirical, occasionally purely silly, but always funny comic strip is one of the most popular and well-respected features on the comic page today. Also appearing online and in books, Wiley Miller's uniquely twisted take on everyday life is faithfully followed and read by millions of readers each day.

• Critically acclaimed and award-winning, Non Sequitur is the only comic to win the Reuben "Best Comic Strip" division award in its first year of syndication. Non Sequitur has also won three times in the "Best Syndicated Panel" division.

Featuring a different Non Sequitur panel each day, this calendar is the pot of gold for Non Sequitur fans or anyone else looking for a smart, funny, yet slightly off-center laugh each day. It's all here: politics, business, family life, religion, pop culture—basically anything people talk about, Wiley pokes fun with his trademark intelligent yet wacky wit and perspective. Who else would consider why Jihadist rallies don't have Q and A sessions?

Meet the Author

Wiley Miller began his career as a political cartoonist in 1976, and his incisive drawings have won him several honors, including, in 1991, the prestigious Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award. He moved to Iowa City, Iowa, in 1992 to devote his full-warped attention to Non Sequitur. Non Sequitur is the only cartoon to win National Cartoonists Society awards in both the comic strip and comic panel categories, and Wiley Miller is the only cartoonist to win a Reuben in his first year of syndication.

If you've missed the Far Side, and Calvin and Hobbs, this calendar/comic strip so far has been the only worth successor to the biting yet provocative humor of the comic genuises who have left us recently. Buy it an you will not be sorry...comic strip humor/wit is alive and well!

This is a very entertaining calendar. It gives me a laugh every morning. If you have a dry sense of humor or know someone who does, this will make a great gift. I have been buying this calendar for years and have not been disappointed.
