Bad Economy Hits the B&N Desk Diary

That's the only reason I can think of to justify the production of this pretender to the lovely B&N Desk Diary of years past. The soft, thick leather is now thin, bonded leather (yuck). Gone are the first lines and/or quotes from classic books inside the front & back covers.

Instead of the diary I loved all year, I put this one back and purchased something different for 2011. Truly affirms the saying, "They don't make them like they used to." Very disappointing, B&N.

Where has the B&N Planner gone????

Year after year Ive bought the hardcover day planner. I was a little late this year in buying it and now I understand why I havent been able to locate the 2011 edition. This item is NOT what we expect from B&N for our yearly planner. BRING back the old, tried and true black hard covered calendars. I didnt buy this one thats for sure. I've loved and enjoyed my previous desk book. How could you do this????
