Meet the Author

Born in Rochester, New York, Laura Dawn Lewis is the eldest of two and grew up on the West Coast of the United States. She attended high school in Oregon and Brazil before graduating from Central Washington University with a BS in Marketing. She has also spent time in England and Saudi Arabia.


In 1999, Miss Lewis founded Couples Company, an online resource, community and publication based upon the Eight Stages of Intimacy. In January 2011 she merged the company with two others; the new site and direction will be unveiled during the Summer of 2011.

In 2004 she began working with a partner based in the region covering humanitarian issues and current events in the Middle East under his name. Their coverage of these issues has won them over a dozen international journalism awards.

Miss Lewis has written over a dozen books/reports ranging from non-fiction, human rights, employment and current events to Christian fiction and a rather saucy collection of short stories for adults. An illustrator, photographer, writer and artist, she currently resides in Los Angeles California.
