Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) was the son of Charles Lewis Tiffany, founder of the famous jewellery firm Tiffany & Co. A talented artist and designer, he took after his father, being skilled in jewellery design, as well as ceramics, enamels, and metalwork. however, he was most keen to develop his glassmaking skills and is therefore best known for his beautiful stained-glass designs for windows and lamps. inspired by the ideals of the English arts & crafts movement, he used opalescent glass in a variety of colours and textures to create the stunning range of jewel-like Art Nouveau designs that can be seen in this wall calendar, complete glittered throughout.
