Lisa Fugard was born in South Africa and came to the United States in 1980. After working in the theater, performing in New York, London and South Africa, she turned her attention to writing. Her short fiction has been published in StoryOutside and literary magazines, while her many travel articles, essays, and book reviews have been published in the New York Times.Her acclaimed first novel, Skinner's Drift was named a notable book of 2006 by the New York Times. Lisa is passionate about the writer's craft. She is a presenter in the Hay House Writer's Workshop series and leads online workshops.
