Overview

When I first met him I resisted. Like any forbidden love, I told myself he was a crush, and it would pass. That was a lie. It never faded. And I never expected he would fall for me just as hard. There were so many reasons that should have kept us apart, least of all the decade that separated us. Growing up in New York City, I learned early on that love is a double-edged sword. Love broke up my parents, love took away my friends, and love—the big, intense, never-been-like-this-before love—landed me in therapy. Now I'm heading to college, and it's time to give love a clean slate again. But can I really start over when he's still in my life? Because the one man I've always wanted is also the only guy I absolutely can't have…. And he wants me just as fiercely. Can I settle for anything less than the love of my life?

Absolutely adored this gorgeous, heartfelt, romantic forbidden love story! Writing is fantastic and Kennedy and Noah tugged on all my heartstrings! Loved the use of love letters in so many creative ways all through the story

What a great new addition to Lauren Blakely's book library!. 21 Stolen Kisses is a well-written, forbidden love story between almost 18-year-old Kennedy, a high school senior, and Noah, a successful 25-year-old talent agent who represents Kennedy's famous mother. They are madly in love and want to be together. Of course their age difference is a hurdle they need to overcome, in addition to society's conventions. They steal time and kisses when they can, while dealing with their own vulnerabilities. Overall this is a solid, new adult read with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. Complimentary copy provided by the author via NetGalley.

You’d think by now, since I’ve read every single one of Lauren Blakely’s books, that I wouldn’t really be surprised at how wonderful each new story is to me. But yet again, she has blown me away with this latest adventure. What is so different about this book is that as I read it, I wasn’t completely sure how the storyline would transpire. On its face, it seems to be one of forbidden love: high school student in love with her mother’s 25 year old friend and agent. However, it is so much more than that. This unconventional, almost quirky kind of love story between Kennedy and Noah is told in alternating POV’s with descriptions of those stolen kisses placed lovingly between chapters. This is a couple who, despite their age difference, are completely perfect for one another. Their shared love of Broadway musicals and the songs that capture each other’s moods had me falling for them in a most unexpected way. Having to meet secretly, never knowing when they could see each other. Surviving not one but two breakups along the way, Kennedy and Noah only felt alive when they could be in each other’s presence. Their clandestine meetings often felt pained. All they wanted was the freedom to be together and not care who knew. This book is not about the seduction of a younger girl and the passion shared between them. On the contrary it’s the joyful union of two souls who are desperate to find that path that will let them love each other without any guilt or shame. I loved that it wasn’t about sex or physical intimacy. Kennedy and Noah loved each other’s minds and the sweet gestures that showed their commitment to each other. Stolen texts, heartwarming pictures sent late at night. They had a bond that refused to be broken. Their journey is not an easy one and at times I did not know where the storyline would lead or if I would be satisfied at the conclusion. The extremely well written characters drew me in from the start and I honestly loved that it wasn’t obvious how it would all turn out. I was happily held captive by the author’s words and Kennedy’s and Noah’s actions at the end spoke louder than I thought possible. It is a wonderful and unique book that I am honored to have been able to read. Lauren Blakely continues to floor me with her talent and she will always be a go-to author for me. I highly recommend you reading 21 Stolen Kisses. It will warm your heart and make you smile. A huge 5 stars!!

She finds her self in Love with her moms agent whom is 8 yrs older then her, Noah is feeling like he is drowning in his feeling for a younger woman and doesn't know what to think for he has never been attracted to someone so much younger then himself . They meet in secret ,She breaks him . WOW what a journey to their HEA it, I was griped to the end . Thank you Lauren this book was wonderful , you did a great job on a taboo relationship.

This book touched my heart and soul!!! I laughed, I cried, I swooned. So much emotion for these two characters - I love the notion of time and falling in love out of time, and how they fell for each other through songs and music, and all their hope that maybe someday!

This is one of the most beautifully written stories. It's not just about a forbidden love but the journey for Noah and Kennedy of friendship, family, choices and life circumstances. There are so many wonderful passages in this book that will simply just take your breath away. Will just make you stop and think. The manner in which the story unfolds and develops is very real, touching and beautiful. You will not want to miss reading this. Another extraordinary read by Lauren Blakely!!

This is Kennedy's story of transformation from teenager to young womanhood. At 17 years of age, she is carrying the guilt of her parents' divorce and all the secrets and lies that surround her. Being an unwilling partner to her mother's manipulations and secrets from a young age is not a healthy environment to grow up in. Now that she is reaching the beginning of a new phase in her life, she must face the decision of how to make amends for the past in order to free herself from all this guilt. She is unable to face the fact that she has done nothing wrong.  She is also deeply in love with Noah Haynes, her mother's agent. This only adds to the confusion of emotions she is trying to control. Their "love affair" has been one of anticipation, stolen moments and more lies. Her blossoming desires become a guilty pleasure of a forbidden love for an older man. The fact that Noah is only 8 years older than her is of no consequence to assuage the guilt. He is older and mature - her parents would never approve. Noah is aware of this. His reciprocal feelings cannot be denied, but he can control them while he waits for her to grow up and be of age to choose. In the life of an author, there is that one story that is nurtured and perfected for years until it is time to unveil it to the world. This is that novel for Lauren Blakely. If you read the "Acknowledgements" section at the end of the book, you will understand what a labor of love this story was for her. This is truly an epic novel of growing up and forgiveness. It is a study of the impact secrets, lies, guilt, and forgiveness have on a child. The love story between Noah and Kennedy is pivotal to her final step into owning her future. I am glad I read this story. I was riveted absorbing the full impact of the psychological effects on Kennedy.  Bravo, Lauren Blakely, for sticking to your guns and bringing forward this amazing story!

Lots of drama and relatable feelings. Felt a little out of place reading a story with a 17 year old narrator, but still a decent read. Would reccomend.

Loved this book. Such a different story line. Love these charactors. Kennedy is so mature and damaged and still believes in love. Noah was a good person . The way he treats Kennedy and makes sure she come first and how he totaly respects her. You will love his book. What a great love story

When I finished this book, wow is the only thing that came to mind. This is a very rare book. The writing is ... smart. That's the only way I can think to describe it. I adore the characters. This is a profound love. And the author writes it to perfection. I love that it had multiple POVs. My only regret is that we couldn't spend a little more time with them and were able to see a little into their future. Very good book. 245 pages on my nook

Lauren Blakely shoots right into my heart with this story. I'm in love with her Naughty Nights stories and her Tangled series. This story has you rooting for the happy ever after even though socially you would balk, but again right to the heart- love follows no rules and has no qualms even when we do. Thank you Lauren for pushing for this story! It's a true romance. HEA

21 Stolen Kisses is a story about love and second chances. After reading the synopsis I was intrigued, there was just something that pulled me in. Needless to say, I was happy to have gotten the chance to read an early copy of the book. The story follows a young girl, Kennedy, who is 17 at the time. She has grown up in New York City with her mom, a well known writer. Having grown up surrounded by her mother's agent and those that work for her, Kennedy never imagined herself falling for the very man that has helped her mom achieve success. After her father divorced her mom, she has had trouble trusting people, and after a series of events she ends up seeing a therapist. It is not after she starts to realize that she wants the relationship that she had with her mom's agent back that she discovers the secrets that those around her have hidden from her, especially her mother. There is a lot of guilt that she has hold on to, but thanks to her best friend, she discovers a way to make things right and find who she really is. Noah wasn't expecting to fall in love with one of his client's daughter, but he can't seem to stay away from Kennedy. Ever since she broke up with him, he has been devastated, yet he understand why she did it. With that in mind, he is willing to fight for her no matter what it takes to get her back.  I really liked the story, it was well written and the characters are relatable. Although I did have issues with how the story was set up, it went from past to present throughout the book that made it a bit confusing. The story itself starts a bit off, as readers we don't technically know who Kennedy is talking about right away. She is basically describing events, and how she meets the guy of her dreams, but we don't know his name until later. Throughout the book, we just see her reflecting on the past, and not so much on the present. I liked the overall story, there is definitely character development between Kennedy and Noah. They both grow as they experience the pain of heartache, and learn from their mistakes. There is chemistry between them, in several of flashbacks we find out how they started to grow closer and learn about their past relationship. Overall, I would recommend reading 21 Stolen Kisses, we get the romance, sweet scenes, and a great ending. :) *ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.*
