I was looking for Andrew Lang's fairy books, and stumbled upon this. Not only does it contain all of the fairy books, but it has all of the fairy tale books I loved as a child. The books on mythology are an added bonus, and are a must-have for Harry Potter and Percy Jackson fans. You can sure see Tolkien's influences in the Norse legends book. Note: This took awhile to load the first time, but was faster after that. This is a huge collection,so that's probably why.

I like this book. It was pretty complete with all the different fairy tales I wanted to have for my child's collection. My boys especially liked that it had Bullfinch's Mythology, which today is pretty cool especially since the return of mythological films and books--it's a great companion to them! I highly recommend this set for parents who are looking to engage their children in reading things other than "Angry Birds" app help books.

It's wonderful having all these stories in one volume, the only problem is deciding what to read first!!! I would definitely recommend this, especially for literary students & anyone who enjoys multi-cultural tales.

If, like me, you want to buy this collection for Andrew Lang's colored fairy books, it might be best to look elsewhere. I was disappointed to see that each volume is one massive file and that you cannot jump easily from story to story.

Thank you so much B&N for making this amazing book avalable. I am a huge J.R.R. Tolkin, J.K. Rowling, and Rick Riordan fan. This book really helped me see where those authors got their ideas. This book was worth the money!

Well, I started to read it, but the formatting is strange and hard to read. The book is not very engaging, and beginning with WELL-KNOWN myths is not the best way (at least for me) to start a book.
