    Very practical for the classroom.

With down and dirty writing lessons that cut to the chase, this is a great resource for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade teachers.

Simple lessons using student writing as examples. These lessons cover helping kids not write bed to bed, how to write a paragraph, editing, using good word choices, and showing not telling.
As a reading coach I have even used this book for main idea lessons.

    I highly recommend this book!
