I love Night on Bald Mountain. It has been one of my favorites since childhood when my father used to play it for my sisters and me.

A wonderful mix of some of the most well known classics, edited for the climax of the piece.

From Sprach Zarathustra right up to The Great Gate at Kiev, there is a wonderful smorgasboard of truly awakening classics. This CD is wonderful at any time. I am listening to it even as I write this review. Once you have tried it, you will truly realise and appreciate how intricately woven into our life classical music is.

Your kids will recognise each track

From Fucik's ''Entry of the Gladiators'' to Verdi's ''Anvil Chorus'' each selection on this CD is immediately recognisable. We've heard them in advertisements, movies, and cartoons. Some of the tracks are shortened like Holst's ''Mars'' but still,weI found the entire CD uplifting and enjoyable. This is a great CD to purchase for a child learning a musical instrument. The shortened tracks give a reasonable sample of 300 years of great musical composition.
