All Music Guide - Bradley Torreano
The enthusiastic pop of James Last is presented here on three different discs that each explore a different side of his career. Although the album is devoid of lyrics except for the bizarre singalong chanting that accompanies some songs, this is mostly classic vocal pop changed around into poppy instrumentals. Fans of the swinging '60s music scene and the following disco-centric variation on that sound may find this to be quite entertaining, while those unfamiliar with the era may just find this to be a mildly interesting collection of pop music. Either way, this album takes much of his best material and manages to put it together into one kitchy, fun package that should please fans.
