Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
Three individual books are combined to make one large board book. In each of the offerings, excellent photographs fill the pages. Kids will find full-page images of the animals with their names and a few facts. The format is consistent, the only difference being the type of animals that kids get to meet. They will leave the wild tigers and elephants for the tame rooster, the ducks and the horses found on farms and end up looking at pictures of potential pets--cats, dogs, goldfish, guinea pigs, chameleons, and rabbits. There is plenty of useful information in this oversized board book, and it can probably be enjoyed by older kids who lack fine motor skills, as well as kids who just want to know more about the world around them. 2005, St Martin's Press, Ages 2 to 8.
