3X Carlin - An Orgy of George satisfies even the beginner Carlin fan

Fans of George Carlin will not be disappointed by his latest compilation "3X Carlin - An Orgy of George. In it are three books rolled into one hysterically funny yet grimly sarcastic compendium of Carlin criticisms. If you've ever seen him in one of his TV specials you will certainly recognize many of his acerbic comments/anecdotes/diatribes on the impending state of doom our culture is heading for (by his account - we're already there!) If you visualize in your head, his stage antics while you're reading you'll be overwhelmed with tears of laughter. His cynical outlook on people and their daily routines will make you think twice about how you approach your day and the mundane, monotonous activities we silly humans have to endure. For those of you looking to give the gift of laughter to someone you care about - this book does not disappoint.

Same old Carlin, but of course that's the point of a reissue.

As with yesterday's Red Skelton you have to go through a lot of twaddle to find the gems....but the gems are worth the trouble. And just as when Carlin was on stage, you have to ignore a lot of pointless profanity.

    more from this reviewer

    I Also Recommend:

This saves purchasing all three seperately

George Carlin is by far the most intellectually stimulating comedian to have ever lived. His messages have spanned generations of political and pop culture humor. I personally have read the three books included in this collection but have never owned any of them. This was a perfect opportunity to own all three plus some extra passages not included in any of the original texts. It reads fast, its hard to put down and you'll love every minute of it. Unless you're easily offended, in which case, run away at full speed, preferably away from me.

    Carlin review

George Carlin has always been one of my favorite comedians. When I saw his book, I was very excited to purchase it and be able to sit and read it and to be able to laugh aloud!!! I highly rate this book. Great Carlin material.
