But this year, the Dark will bring something else.

From across the frozen wasteland, a horrifying evil descends upon Barrow, mercilessly besieging its residents with unrelenting terror and swift death. Great

Ok so comin from someone who is a die hard zombie fan and love all horror movies and books this one was just spectacular because the book as someone previousky said brought in so much more character delvelopement and did indeed bring barrow to life the book might have just beat the movie but both are truly amazingggg!!!

    Lalala loved it

I saw the movie before i read the book so in my oppinion the book was way better than the movie because the author really makes the world of barrow alaska come to life and feel real.. i am a huge fan of vampires and this book made me cringe in the dark.. if u love gore and vampires then i recomend this book (:

A great expansion of the movie and comic series.

First off, the movie and book are closer in story than the actual comic series. That is not to say both are not close to the comic series, but those two are quicker comparisons since the book was based on the movie. I have enjoyed all three mediums and am glad each one has some differences to keep it fresh. The book follows the movie closely but expands on some characters and story lines. After reading this, I want to watch the movie again and read the collected mini series in the graphic novel format. Great book to read after seeing the movie!

Like the movie you'll love this...

better than the movie by a good strech. I own the movie and have seen it many times the book answers some questions I had like where did this little 5 or 6 yr old girl come from near the end of the movie that hides with stella under the blazer and how they ended up there this and many other things that ended up on the editors floor. One of my favorite thing is that you get to read what Marlow says thruout the story my copy of the movie does not have subtitles for the dialect he speaks in the movie. not to mention to read this in the dark is chilling at times even seeing the movie sevral times I could not put this book down...
