Despite what the world leads us to believe, true beauty has nothing to do with outward appearances. The more we focus on what we look like on the outside, the more insecure we become.

Fortunately, God doesn’t measure our worth by how we look. We have value simply because we are His children. The more we focus on getting our hearts right with the Lord

Despite what the world leads us to believe, true beauty has nothing to do with outward appearances. The more we focus on what we look like on the outside, the more insecure we become.

Fortunately, God doesn’t measure our worth by how we look. We have value simply because we are His children. The more we focus on getting our hearts right with the Lord and honoring Him, the more secure and confident we will become—and the more we will exude true beauty.

In 30 Days to a More Beautiful You, former Victoria’s Secret Runway Angel Kylie Bisutti gives a complete inner-beauty makeover with succinct devotional readings designed to transform your heart, body, mind, and soul and put you on the path to becoming a happier, healthier, more beautiful you.

The perfect gift for every young woman, this devotional will forever change the way you define the word beautiful.

Brief devotions magnifying awareness of the beauty within us. I’ve read Kylie Bisutti’s book, I’m No Angel, and really enjoyed it, so I hoped 30 Days to a More Beautiful You: A Devotional for Girls would be just as enjoyable. I don’t want to say I was disappointed, because the devotions are useful for opening up dialogue with young girls, but the entries are too brief, only skimming the surface. I’d like to have seen a more in depth discussion of each topic. Other than a few references to sex, this devotional is well suited for tweens due to the simplicity. Overall, this devotional gives a glimpse of potential studies and makes a nice accompaniment to Ms. Bisutti’s, I’m No Angel.

This was a fairly light devotional book, but I thought there were some good points in it.  I liked her questions at the end--if given some thought they could be thought-provoking and for the serious-minded person, cause more Bible reading and heart searching to be done.  I also thought her beauty tips at the end provided some good advice to follow.  My views on modesty and Kylie's views on modesty are not the same, but I think there are some good points that can be gained from this book.

Thirty Days to a More Beautiful You is a great devotional for girls going into middle or high school, really any girl with a lot of peer pressure. It also would be good for girls who have just been saved, just not necessarily  a girl who has had a real relationship with God for a long time. It has encouraging messages about being who God wants us to be as his child, instead of worrying about what the world thinks of us. (Easier said then done, but this book helps a lot!!) Each day also has a verse related to the subject as well as a "True Beauty Tip". Highly recommend this to girls looking for something to encourage them or for a girl's first devotional as it has a simple message. The only thing I will mention, is that if you are looking for a deeper devotional, I would not recommend this particular one.

Short but Nice. This is a short book, meant to be for teens but not challenging enough for them. I agree with the review by Sarah Bailey, as well as the review in July by HomeSchool Mom of 4. This book is fine for a beginning, and has very appropriate verses, but it seems to skim the surface rather than being an in-depth study. The points are good, but made simply. The encouragement is good, and thoughtful, although repetitive. Some concepts may be too advanced for young girls.

Sweet devotional for girls that has each day a Bible verse and then a quick story by Kylie about the modeling world or the world’s view of beauty followed by a “True beauty tip” that goes along with the devotional title and story, such as “The only way to a satisfying life is to know God” or “A strong woman trusts in God.” I think this book would be perfect for a tween or late elementary girl.

This book inspired me to strive to be the woman God wants me to be, not the woman I think people want. I highly recommend this for girls and women of all ages.

I really like the premise of this book--our true worth comes from God, and lasting beauty comes from the girl we are inside.  The book is a nice devotional but it doesn't go very deep (at all) but stays at the very surface of things.  I'm reminded of the bible verse that says, "I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it."  This book is the "milk".  It could definitely be a life changing and inspiring read for a teenage girl who's recently been saved, or recently diving into really living for God and finding out who she is in Christ, but for anyone who needs that "solid", a-bit-deeper stuff, I recommend something more like "Every Young Woman's Battle".

A devotional book for pre-teen and teen girls, Kylie has given a wonderful tool to teach truth about developing REAL inner beauty. A former Victoria's Secret model, Kylie left modeling (you can read her story in the book "I'm No Angel") because she felt that ultimately the job was compromising her true beliefs. Every day's reading has a Bible verse, topic, some thought provoking questions, and a True Beauty Tip. She talks about things like your worth and value, your uniqueness, and finding our true identity in Christ - seeing yourself how He sees you. It is seriously easy to recommend this book as a devotional for your daughter -or a gift for a girl you love!

Fabulous 30 day devotional for any age female from teens to senior citizens. Kylie first reminds us that we’re made in God’s image, He wants us to know Him and realize we’re worthwhile to God. Second, we’re daughters of the King and have value to God. Third, God considers us His special treasure. Fourth, we need to please God, not people. Fifth, when we sin, we must confess it to God and receive His forgiveness. God tells us that nothing can separate us from Him once we ask Jesus into our lives. Sixth, true security depends on God. Seventh, we need to discover our inner beauty. Eighth, our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and we can actually find rest in God’s love. Ninth, we need to honor God with our body which means we don’t starve ourselves to be thin, or deliberately cut ourselves to punish us, or have sex outside of marriage. Tenth, we embrace God’s creativity as we see the world around us and even ourselves in our mirrors. As you can see from the first ten examples, Kylie reminds us in 30 beautiful ways of how to train ourselves to daily live the way God would want, becoming women of character, asking for forgiveness when we fail which we will all do, trusting Him to lead us through the bad times, putting Him first, choosing modesty, God’s truth, the right standards, and using our talents to encourage others to run the race with us. This book is a great gift to young Christian women, but it is also a reminder to women of all ages that we need daily to stay close to God so we can avoid as many mistakes as possible and our life will be healthier and happier.

This is a great book for young girls and adult women! I am 41 years old woman and I enjoyed this devotional so much. I recommend this book and this author. Each day is very short and very easy for a young girls to understand. I just love this book and I am looking for more books by this author.

True Beauty Devotional Kylie Bisutti has truly found the reason why God allowed her to win her dream job only to find that it compromised too many of her Christian values.  Kylie can really relate to young impressionable girls/young women who think that outward beauty is all that counts. Each day starts with a verse/s, short devotional and is followed by 2 questions and a true beauty tip.

With the sex sells environment that we live in, it is hard to know what is appropriate and what isn't.  This book gives you Godly standards to follow to make sure what your motivation is in wearing the provocative clothes that are so popular now.  Thank you Kylie, for having the guts to show what true beauty really is, and that it comes from God.  So glad this was on the Tyndale summer reading program or I would have never known about this book.

As an adult, I thought this book was full of great information that every young girl needs to hear. I definitely think it can be read by anyone, but I would recommend it for girls ages 10-14. The devotions are short and easy to read, yet really get the point across. As a former Victoria's Secret model, the author is able to talk about topics such as: modesty, God's love, finding your worth in God, and inner beauty, all while sharing stories of her past and how her life has changed since leaving the modeling world. I have read the author's other book (I'm No Angel) and I definitely think the two should be read together.

Don't assume this book is fluff just because the cover is pink and the author is a former Victoria Secret model. Don't be that shallow, because this book is far from shallow. Kylie focuses on the inward rather than the outward, which is exactly what girls in this world need. She starts off easy with a lesson in how we are made in God's image, opening with Scripture and a personal anecdote. Then Kylie asks some light questions for journaling, and offers a True Beauty Tip, which is a bite-sized piece of wisdom girls can carry around in their hearts. Each day's reading goes a bit deeper, discussing insecurity, competition between females, people pleasing, and who truly owns our bodies. Here's a clue: it isn't us! Kylie writes very conversationally, engaging on a level any teen girl can enjoy, and she probes deeper into the true identity of a daughter of the King, but she does so gently and with love. She writes from a place of authenticity and is very genuine. I'm very glad I purchased a copy of this monthly devotional. Kylie's words were great reminders to a woman my age to find my true worth in God, not in the world's definition. Buy a few copies for the young women in your life, and get one for yourself as well!

30 Days to a More Beautiful You A Devotional for Girls By Kylie Bisutti 30 Days to a More Beautiful You is a devotional to help girls navigate the idea of what is true beauty.   The world is pushing the idea of selling our appearance to calculate our true worth when God is telling us just the opposite. As a former Victoria's Secret Runway model Kylie has some unique insights into why the world wants us to define our worth by the amount of skin we show and how much we are willing to give away of ourselves.   By buying into the world view of beauty we are selling ourselves short and we won't find true contentment.   We'll be insecure because outer beauty can so easily change, but if we focus instead on our inner beauty we will transform our heart and soul. 30 Days to a More Beautiful You offers 30 days of verses and personal insights into how we've allowed ourselves to be confused and how we can rise above it and find our true worth and beauty in God and not the world.  This devotional would be a perfect gift for any young lady who is trying to discover who she is.  I think that ages 12 and up would benefit from the insights they can glean from it.  I also think parents of younger girls could use this as a guide to help steer their daughters to understanding where their true beauty can be found. I was provided a copy of this book by Tyndale House Publishers in exchange for my honest review.

Great devotional This devotional book is written for girls, but it’s definitely applicable for women as well. Some of the lessons Kylie shares from her life took me a long time to learn and I appreciated the reminders. Each day’s entry starts with a verse or two, then Kylie makes the message clearer with her experience on the matter. She ends with questions to make it personal for the reader, and a “True Beauty Tip.” I enjoyed Kylie’s writing style and I’d pick up further books if she writes them!

I decided to read this devotional to see if it’d be a solid option for my JOLT girls that I lead. The author is a former Victoria’s Secret model who decided her faith in God was essentially more important than a lucrative career. Being a short and easy read, it’s meant as a thirty-day devotional. Each day begins with a bible verse, followed by some real-life insights, and concludes with a few contemplative questions as well as a “true beauty tip”. She does a decent job of focusing on the beauty of Christ and subsequently our beauty through Christ. The topics and points are simple, but almost too simple. I could see many of the girls in my JOLT group saying “easier said than done” or “there’s more to it than that”. She could have included more hands-on solutions. Most girls who struggle with security and self-esteem need practical advice as well as godly, biblical advice. I personally would not give this devotional to my JOLT girls as I believe there are other devotionals out there that would reap significantly more benefits in their lives. Taken from Kylie Bisutti's book "I'm No Angel", this short daily devotional is published by Tyndale House. It has a beautiful cover in my opinion: simple, pink, and sporty yet elegant. It is only 65 pages, so the portions every day are small, but still they are profound and humbling. I really like that it focuses on your relationship with God and how to improve your inner beauty. The book itself is pocket-size in paperback, or currently free on Kindle, at the time this post was written. Kylie Bisutti was a Victoria's Secret Angel model, until she decided to become a role model and make it a goal to live out her life as a Proverbs 31 wife and woman. I read her autobiography when it was free on Kindle, and really, really enjoyed it. Mrs. Bisutti is down to earth and honest, and is not telling her story just to condemn or make money, but to show other girls where beauty comes from and encourages them to grow in their faith. Thank you so much to Tyndale House for providing me with a copy of this book to read and review. I really enjoyed it; the simplicity and beauty of both the book and the love of God was magnificent. I would love to see more from this author! All opinions are my own.

Kylie Bisutti, a former Victoria Secret model, has put together a lovely short, 30-day devotional for girls on how to focus on transforming your inner beauty, instead of superficial outer beauty, to “transform your heart, your body, your mind, and your soul and put you on the path to becoming a happier, healthier, more beautiful you.” Each day’s passage begins with a Bible verse, offers a few paragraphs from Kylie’s life about that day’s subject, and then offers a few questions to ponder as well as a “true beauty tip.”  Kylie really reiterates there are so many traits we each have that are worthy and important and valued, even more so than outward beauty. “30 Days” teaches us that the only way to define ourselves is through God and His love for us, and that women need to value modesty. Some of her encouraging “true beauty tips” include: “Live to please God, not people;” “God knows and loves the real you;” “God’s forgiveness makes you ‘good enough’;” and “We can find joy in doing what’s right.” “30 Days” is appropriate for girls who are late pre-teen and older, all the way through adulthood. It’s a great devotional for girls and women who are busy and on the go, as each day’s passage only takes a few minutes to read. And the book is quite small, so it will easily fit into a purse or book bag. Five stars out of five. Tyndale House Publishers provided this complimentary copy for my honest, unbiased review.
