Overview

Erin Crawford is a relationship blogger with a bucket list and a vendetta. After years of horrible luck in relationships, she decides to start a blog called "30 First Dates." Her mission: go out with 30 men before her 30th birthday, all to find a non-jerk in 30 dates or less. As she blogs about her sometimes humorous and sometimes laughably bad dates, she crosses off her bucket list of 30 things she wants to do before she turns 30-and kills two birds with one stone by completing the items on her dates! In fourteen months she skydives, skinnydips, crashes a wedding, travels to multiple cities and lives way outside her comfort zone. The only question is, as her birthday approaches and her list grows smaller, will Erin be able to find love? Or is she destined to be a first-date-only kind of girl?

Meet the Author

Stacey had barely blown out the candles on her 21st birthday cake when she took her first job as a reporter at a daily newspaper. She later followed her passion to interior design school and spent three years working at a firm with bizarre similarities to the set of Designing Women. Today she funnels that experience into her work as a full-time freelance writer, penning everything from magazine articles to website copy to a bi-weekly column called Inside Design. She also writes romantic comedy, and the zany characters she's met poke their heads into her stories from time to time. Stacey lives in Memphis, Tenn., with her husband, also a writer, and a son who's inherited their overactive imaginations.

I don't normally review but I really wanted to rate this book 5 stars. It has been awhile since I've read a book and have really enjoyed it. It had me cringing along with the main character, laughing with her, but mostly just smiling through the whole book. I look forward to reading the rest of this author's work.

Very interesting take on a romance novel. Loved the different dates, some bad and some good, throughout the book. Highly recommend for any lover of romance novels!!

Reviewed by Anne-Marie Reynolds for Readers' Favorite 30 First Dates by Stacey Wiedower is a romantic comedy. Erin Crawford has a bit of a vendetta. She doesn’t have any luck whatsoever in her relationships and she decides that the time is right to start a new blog, one called “30 First Dates.” The idea is that Erin will go out on 30 dates with 30 different men before she reaches the age of 30. It’s her way of trying to find a man who isn’t a complete jerk and her adventures make for interesting reading on her blog. Sometimes her dates are funny, sometimes just plain sad. Erin has a bucket list as well, 30 things to do before she turns 30 so she combines it with her 30 dates. In just over a year, Erin goes skydiving, she visits loads of different cities, goes skinny dipping, crashes a wedding and so much more. As her 30th birthday approaches fast, the bucket list is shrinking, but will Erin really be able to find the one thing she wants – true love? 30 First Dates by Stacey Wiedower is a fun book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was well laid out with amazingly funny characters, and with a nice touch of reality about the whole story. It has humour, sadness, emotion, embarrassment, everything that you could possibly want in a romantic comedy. Right from the start, the story is an attention-grabber and you just don’t want to put it down. You have to know what’s going to happen on the next date and if Erin really will find the love she so richly deserves. The story and the characters were fully developed and you really felt as if you could identify with them. I’m sure that there are lots of women – and men – who have found themselves in this position and you have to wonder how they came put of it. Captivating story, I really enjoyed this book.

This was a very different and appealing idea to add to the dating game; merge the thirties I started calling it. Thirty dates, thirty men, thirty bucket list items, all before the age of thirty. If that does not have you interested in this story nothing will. I recommend a hot cup of coffee, tea, cider, whatever is your drink of preference, curl up by the fire and enjoy.

This was a great, feel good read! I loved the various dates and the 30 by 30 list. The story pulled me in immediately and kept me reading with fun and funny moments but kept me guessing, and hoping, until the very end. I would highly recommend it for those looking for a happily ever after!

30 First Dates is a fantastic book. It's intriguing and adventuresome that it definitely caught my attention from the beginning and kept me turning pages to the very end. This book is fun and entertaining and you cannot help but love the main character. The author even gives some laugh out loud moments in this book. 30 First Dates was an enjoyable read. I received a complimentary copy from the publisher in exchange for my honest review. This review is one hundred percent my opinion.

This was a very interesting concept. Combining 30 dates with 30 different guys while completing 30 items on her bucket list, all before turning 30. She definitely has fun. A very good read. Curl up by the fire and enjoy!

very interesting concept for a book, to give herself such a challenge on her blog, to date 30 guys, all pretty interesting. She has fun but in the end discovered who she really is which is the most important challenge of all. This book flowed very nicely and was a fun read, kept me interested to the end.

Enjoyable Read! This is an enjoyable read. This is the first book that I have read by this author, but I am looking forward to reading more by her. Erin has realized that she is almost 30 years old, and comes up with a bucket list to complete before she turns 30. She starts a relationship blog and decides on a mission to go out with 30 men before she turns 30. Once I started reading this book, it grabbed my attention and I didn’t want to put it down until I finished.  This book has it all romance, humor and adventure. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author in the future.  A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

This book is about one woman's personal journey and inevitably finding herself. Erin Crawford is a blogger and comes up with a plan before she turns 30. She goes on thirty first dates and completes the items on her bucket list while on the dates. This story has it all and I didn't want it to end. I can't wait for the next book by Stacey Wiedower!

Not just 30 First Dates but a bucket list of 30 things to accomplish before the age of thirty. Humor, family, good friends all weave together to make this a can’t put down read.

I loved Erin Crawford! She is a strong heroine that I could totally relate to. I love her idea of having 30 dates for 30 and blogging about it. The ideas she had on her bucket list made me want to make my own, though I would not jump out of a perfectly good airplane, ever! Some of her dates were so bad I felt for her. The ending is well worth it too! When a book can make me sad and happy and cry then it is totally worth it! Can not wait to read more by this author!
