    365 Yoga

Julie Rappaport has created a book that goes beyond simply instructing practitioners in how to perform yoga poses. Her book is filled with inspiring philisophical thought (from a range of persepectives) that can inform readers' daily lives as well as their yoga practice. Her own sensitive and insightful writing forms the backbone of the book.

    A great read

As a student new to yoga, I found this book fantastically helpful. I really enjoyed the quotations which I thought well chosen and a good introduction to the philosophy behind the exercises. The book is well laid out and easily digestible, something important to me as a beginner and I was impressed by the author's own writings and her obvious love for her subject. I'm sure this book will appeal to both newcomer and old hand, I thought it a wonderful read and it has certainly inspired me to look deeper into the practice.

Good if you are really a yoga buff.

Good daily meditations. I was a bit disappointed that many of the meditations were too deep for my purposes. Some were very lengthy and I was looking for short, sweet one or two paragraph entries.

An indispensible handbook for home practice

This book is really, really useful. I have been practicing yoga for over 15 years on my own and in class. This book has helped me go deeper into the meaning and myths behind the yoga poses and into the philosophy -without being overwhelming. The book has actually helped me shape a home practice. I read one a day and then begin my practice. I can recommend it to anyone of any level but don't expect a 'how to do a pose' book. More how to have a home practice. Thanks to the author for inspiring me to take up a home practice again!

    DISAPPOINTING

I thought this book would provide insight into poses as well as useful meditations that would enhance my yoga practice. I was wrong. Aside from a few helpful quotations, I was left uninspired and uneducated.
