This is a must read! Polly will take you with her on this fantastic journey. Her quirky sense of humor and determination will amaze and entertain you. This will also give you a renewed faith in mankind for those that stepped in to help, host and encourage Polly on this path.

    What a hilarious adventure

I loved walking around the world through the words of Polly's book. I laughed and cried from cover to cover. Thank you Polly for your heart and dedication to complete this self-challenge and for sharing the memories with the rest of us.

A true unique gem of a story

It's not just the story -- which is a page turner -- but it's the way she tells it. Polly covers some pretty intense topics, but does so in a fashion that makes you laugh out loud. Since when are the events of 9/11 in the Muslin world, or breast cancer, or religious riots laugh out loud funny? Since reading this book. If the ratings went up to a 10 I would give it so. Have it on your Nook!

One of the most unique pieces of writing I've read in a looong time!

I'm almost jealous of those who haven't read this book yet, because you still sit at the foot of one terrific read. Her writing is so unique, with delicious bits that almost made me want to lick the page!

Yes, a very well written story of an incredible 5-year voyage around the world. The author's first-hand perspective of her citizenship as it was interpreted by others through her journey was interesting.
Polly definitely had the experience of a lifetime. My only regret is that her book was so short. Her journey was long and I just wish I could have shared every step with her through her writings. Well done Polly. You are a true heroine.

Not the first woman to walk around the world

    Just an FYI:

In 2003, at age 57 (yes, 57), Rosie Swale-Pope was not content with just walking around the world - she ran.

To help raise cancer awareness and aid for several other charities, Rosie took on one of the most adventurous - and difficult - routes to travel the world: Russia, Alaska, Canada, Mainland USA, Greenland, Iceland and the UK.

She wore through over 50 pairs of running shoes and raised more than £250,000 for charity.
