My husband and I have recently begun this lifestyle change after witnessing tremendous results in 2 friends. Unfortunately for us, we find we are always starving and almost obsessing about our next meal. I had lost 40 pounds on a low carbohydrate, high protein diet, but was having trouble losing that last 5 to 10 pounds (I had gone from a size 14 to a size 8). I'm hoping that my hormonal response to this diet will self-regulate shortly!

I love this book. I was almost at my wits end and knew I needed to eat better combinations of foods. I didn't have the money to go to those other diet centers that you have to buy their food so I saw this book and bought it! Best purchase I ever made! I started with the fat flush for 3 weeks then went to the regular meals for 1 week. In 1 month I lost 10 lbs. Even if a person works and doesn't have a lot of time, these meals work. A little forethought maybe, but if you really want to lose the weight and do it right this is the book for you. I tried to follow the meals closely with a little 'fudging' once a week and exercised 1 hour each day. I had about 40 lbs. to take off and this diet is making it possible with 10 lbs. already gone! And the other thing is I don't get tired of the meals. I like eating what is suggested and I don't crave sugary foods or eating at night, which was a big problem for me. I eat dinner around 6:00 pm and I'm satisfied until the next morning at breakfast time. Even my husband is trying the regular meal part of this new way of eating. I would like to thank the Dauost couple for coming up with this easy way of eating in this easy to understand book. Eating made easy and fun to stick with even after all the 40 lbs. comes off.

Easy to read, wonderful guidelines, very educational and with it have lost 39 pounds since August and have never felt better. I have more energy then I know what to do with. It saved my life...was diabetic, my doctor says I'm no longer showing the signs...go for it!

This book is short and it spells everything out very clearly. The principles behind the plan are good and believable. The problems start when you try to eat according to the strict rules. I personally don't have time to put so much thought into each meal and bite of food. There are too many charts to read and too many calculations and too many grams to add up. The only way this diet works is if you go stricktly by the pre-planned meals. After a week or two, you're on your own to figure things out. Too much work! I'd much rather spend 20mins exercising than reading the book before each meal.
