This is a religious based book about health and weight from the Church Health Center in Memphis. Like the other books in the series, it is easy to read while offering easy to follow ideas in order to get you to help yourself to better weight.

 

Unlike other diet books, this one does not give you menus or recipes. There are no rigid guidelines of foods to eat or not eat. Instead, there are suggestions on how to change things yourself for the better. There are also stories of real people who have struggled with their weight, and found help.  This is part of an entire series of books following the 40-day plan to bettering yourself and your life. A great addition to the series and a good way to get yourself motivated and strengthen your resolve to lose weight through faith- based motivation.

Meet the Author

Dr. Scott Morris is a family practice physician and ordained United Methodist minister who founded the Church Health Center in Memphis, Tennessee. The center, formed in 1987 to provide quality healthcare for working, uninsured people, has grown to become the largest faith-based clinic of its type in the United States.
