Overview

Is there any sin too hurtful to forgive?

If anyone has a right to hold onto her anger, it's Morgan Goodman. She's been let down by so many people. After a rough childhood and her divorce, she met Ed. He was a perfect gentleman for two years, teaching her to hope and love, but then he raped her.

Her father left her at a very young age and her mother never seemed to care about her. Now, as she's graduating from college, her father reappears in her life, but he's been in an accident. She struggles to understand why he left.

Morgan wants forgiveness from her first husband, but she doesn't know how to forgive the people in her life now. She says, "Our mistakes cost us. Often times we are unwilling to pay full price. Unfortunately, karma offers us no discount, no coupons and no rebates. We cannot take it back and ask for an even exchange. It is never worth it. I have found that out. And now my eyes are wide opened."

Even if Ed pays for his transgression against her, can she forgive him? Or is she willing to pay the ultimate price for not forgiving?

Forgive that thou might be forgiven...

The Novel:489-Wow! That's all I can say! The character in this novel had to overcome many situations and people who failed her throughout her life. However, she presevered through it all. I strongly recommend this book, esp. to those who battles with forgiving someone for something they have done to or against them. In this case-that's all of us! Way to go Motownpoet

    A reviewer

Talk about a see-saw life. The protagonist, Morgan Goodman tell us in the beginning of the book that her 'name is Morgan, but I ain't free, man'. That claim isn't merely clever wordplay. She was bound on many occasion: bound by abusive and abandonment. But yet she was bound to a higher calling. This is a daring book that is hard to categorize. Can't call it Christian lit, it isn't quite an urban drama but yet it is a must read. A gripping tale that will stay with you as long as you live. The next time you wanna hold a grudge, remember this tale.
