To find each work in the anthology, you must go to the "Go To" section of your Nook, and then select "Chapter." It might get a blank screen--if it does, then hit the page forward button and the work will appear. This has confused some readers, and we are sorry for the inconvenience. Please also note that only the first three books will show when you are previewing a selected work. To view all 50 titles, you must buy the entire book.

    Many books here worth reading

This is 50 full-length books, fiction and nonfiction, for $2.99. All of the books are out of copyright, which is why they're so cheap. Such a long list will inevitably have some books you own and others you wouldn't want to read, but I found many here that I like. There's also a companion Volume Two with 50 more books.

This collection appears in your Nook's library as a single book, about 15,000 pages long. You can bring up any particular title by clicking on it in the table of contents, which worked fine on my Nook, but there are a few tricks I figured out that make it easier to use. First, the Nook shows only the total number of pages in the book, so you can't easily see how many pages you have to go in the book that you're reading. The solution is to note down the page number where the next book in the series starts to help you keep track. Also, I put a bookmark in any book I'm reading so I can find it again if I accidentally navigate away from it.

    save your 2.99

This e book is supposed to have a searchable TOC can't find it on my nook and can only see the first three books. All of these titles are available for free on line but bought it for the searchable index, but it doesn't have one. After having the book for a couple of eweeks, I finally found the searchable TOC. It is on the very last page. Hope that helps anyone who might buy this book.

    Great Collection but no TOC

The lack of a Table of Contents makes this collection functionally inaccessible. It was a great disappointment.

    Unable to navigate with Nook

The table of contents was left off of Volume Two, leaving me unable to jump to a specific "chapter" (each book is a chapter). The GoTo->Chapter menu item does not work on books this large in the Nook.

    more from this reviewer

I highly recommend this series I have volumes one and two

I love it, instead of buying each classic separately you can own a good number of them in both volumes I would like the entire series, if you love classics this a very wonderful edition to any library, in nook format or in book format. enjoy reading...

Super Deal Both Volumes I and II

I erred in my review for Volume II and can't change it now so let me correct it here: these are both great deals and highly recommended. I erred in my earlier review because Volume II's Table of Contents isn't as readily apparent as the one for Volume I.

If you want to get a quick down-and-dirty library at little cost, these are both terrific.

    Great Collection!

I bought this to travel with; most (maybe all?) can be found free, but it really does save you when your flying and you don't have wi-fi. It keeps it all in one place. The problem with the table of contents seems to be fixed--at least it worked for me! I'm using a standard Nook (not Nook Color)

    Worthwhile download

I am a little confused as to how you can include The Afterglow which is the 3rd of a series, but not include the other 2. Would've been nice if this was a downloadable "shelve" so it was all separated out and easier to navigate instead of one big volume, but for $3 it's hard to complain too much. Just a suggestion. If you want to feel well-read or just in general superior to others who haven't read many if any of these books, it's worth the download.

    Highly Recommended

I really love this series of books, and even though it's sometimes hard to find each book if you know how to use your Nook really good it becomes super easy. I love all of the books and I think they make for a great Classic read.

    Would Not Open

I'm sure this would have been a terrific and cheap way to collect some wonderful books. Unfortunately, it would not (and still will not) open in my Nook. I received no response when I tried to have the problem resolved. Purchase at your own risk.

    Very Disappointed

I bought this and could not even read it because it would not go to the book I wanted to read. There is no table of content and all that showed up in my Nook was three books. Wish I had never purchased this!!

    A total enjoyment

Although I haven't finished reading all the "stories" in this collection, they truly are classics. From childhood adventures to tales of who done its to what was done; plus many, many words of wisdom.

Something that can be read again and again.

    A fantastic collection

This collection ( as well as volume one) is incredibly useful, epecially for school readings. That aside, these volumes contain books that every person should read in his or her life.

    A must had read list!

This is a good way to compact all the great books without having a lot of shelf space and bookcases. It's a wonderful collection to read again!
