50 Fabulous Crochet Bobbles, Popcorns and Puffs
Part of the fun of crocheting is finding and experimenting with new types of stitches. If you've never added texture to your crocheting, now is the time to learn how to add bobbles, popcorns and puffs to your work. This book by Jean Leinhauser is a collection of 50 fabulous stitches that you can use in many different ways -- for afghans, for sweaters, for hats, for baby items -- for anything you might want to crochet with your hooks. You're not going to find any mention here of gauge. That's because you can crochet these stitches with any type or size of yarn you choose -- from bulky to the finest lace weight thread. Have fun making swatches with these patterns, then pick your favorites and begin creating new and exciting projects.

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
This stitch dictionary focuses on textured stitches for crochet, often found in shawl and afghan projects. Each stitch pattern includes written directions, a stitch count, and a stitch guide, as well as a full-color swatch showing several repeats of the pattern. The stitch patterns are independent of yarn weight and hook size; this allows them to be incorporated into any type of project. VERDICT Although not as comprehensive as other crochet stitch dictionaries, such as Linda Schapper's Complete Book of Crochet Designs, this focused volume is more portable, and will appeal to crocheters looking to add texture to their projects.
